How to Configure Service Codes for Recall Tracking

Note: This setting is available only for users with Dentrix and Open Dental as their Practice Management Systems (PMS). It is not available for Eaglesoft users.

Purpose: This configuration allows Practice IQ to monitor the number of active patients in your hygiene program.

Common Practice: Most offices select codes related to Periodic Exams and Prophy/Perio Maintenance. However, if an FMX or panoramic X-ray (pano) is performed on a patient, Practice IQ will not consider that patient as active in the Recall program.

Steps to Configure:

1. Access Settings: Navigate to the Recall Types page from the Settings.

2. Select Codes:Choose the relevant recall types that indicate a patient is active in the Hygiene program. Common selections include:
  • Periodic Exams
  • Prophy (Prophylaxis)
  • Perio Maintenance

3. Save Configuration: Ensure your selections are saved to start accurate tracking.
