In the Appointment Reminder Campaign, a new feature has been introduced under the Special Settings section: the option to set up an SMS template for confirmed appointments. This allows you to customize the text message content that patients receive when they confirm their appointments.
Setting Up the SMS Template
To utilize this feature, follow these steps:
Navigate to Special Settings:
Go to the Appointment Reminder Campaign section.
Locate the Special Settings section within the campaign settings.
Activate Confirmation Notifications:
Check the box labeled “Send confirmation notification.”
Once activated, the option to set up an SMS template will become visible.
Create the SMS Template:
Click on the SMS template setup option.
Enter the desired text for the confirmation message. Ensure the content is clear and concise to avoid any confusion for the patient.
How It Works
When a patient receives an appointment reminder follow-up SMS, they have the option to confirm their appointment by replying with ‘C’ or '1'. Upon receiving this confirmation:
The system will automatically send a confirmation SMS to the patient.
The confirmation SMS will use the content from the newly created template.
This streamlined process ensures patients receive immediate acknowledgment of their confirmed appointments, enhancing communication and reducing no-shows.
Best Practices
Keep it Short and Sweet: Ensure the SMS content is easy to understand.
Include Essential Information: The confirmation message should include the appointment date, time, and any other relevant details.
Test the Template: Before going live, send test messages to ensure the template displays correctly and is free of errors.
