Duplicating a dashboard allows you to create a personalized version that you own, customizing it according to your specific needs. This feature is useful when you want to use the same dashboard layout and metrics across the same practice or multiple practices while maintaining control over its settings. Follow the steps below to duplicate a dashboard and assign it to a sister practice.
Open the Dashboard Menu
Navigate to Your Dashboards in the left-hand menu.
Click on the three-dot menu (⋮) in the upper-right corner of the dashboard you want to duplicate.
Select Duplicate from the dropdown menu.
Name Your Cloned Dashboard
A pop-up window labeled Duplicate Dashboard will appear.
The system generates a default name for the duplicate, which will say Clone in the title (e.g., "KPI Tracking Clone"). You can go ahead and rename it to suit your needs.
You will now fully own this duplicate dashboard, allowing you to edit and modify it without affecting the original version.
Select the Practice(s) for the Dashboard
Click the Practice dropdown to choose where the duplicated dashboard should be assigned.
Select the current practice or multiple practices (e.g., a sister practice) from the list.
You can use the search bar to quickly find specific practices if needed.
Review Provider & Service Code Settings
You may need to update the provider settings when duplicating a dashboard for a different practice.
If the dashboard includes service codes, ensure they align with the new practice’s setup.
A notification will remind you to adjust these settings if necessary.
Finalize the Duplication
Click Duplicate to complete the process.
The new dashboard will now appear under Your Dashboards, wholly owned by you.
Once the duplication is complete, you can modify the dashboard as needed without affecting the original version.
Final Notes
Only the owner of a duplicated dashboard can edit, customize, and share it.
Ensure all provider and service code settings are correctly configured after duplication.
This process is ideal for maintaining consistency across multiple practices while allowing for personalized adjustments.
