Assigning tags to patients enhances the specificity of Revenue IQ searches and Campaigns, enabling your office to target the right patients precisely. Whether you’re identifying patients in a particular membership plan or insurance network, tags streamline your ability to create focused searches and campaigns.

Why Use Tags?

Tags allow your practice to categorize patients into custom groups that fit your operational needs. For example:

  • Are they part of a specific membership plan?

  • Do they belong to a particular insurance network?

By tagging patients accordingly, you simplify the process of filtering search results and targeting campaigns, saving time and improving efficiency.

How to Create and Manage Tags

Tags can be created and managed in two ways:

  1. Settings - Tag Management Page

    • Navigate to the Tag Management page under Settings.

    • Here, you can:

      • View the number of patients associated with each tag.

      • Activate or inactivate tags based on your needs.

      • Delete unused tags that are not assigned to any patient.

  2. Patient Information Panel

    • Open a patient's information panel.

    • Add a new tag by simply entering a keyword in the appropriate field.

Using Tags in Revenue IQ Searches

When performing a search in Revenue IQ, tags offer additional filtering options:

  • Include/Exclude Tags: Filter patients by including or excluding those with certain tags or sets of tags.

  • Match Logic:

    • Any Tags Match: Patients must have at least one of the selected tags.

    • All Tags Match: Patients must have all selected tags.

Additionally, you can assign or remove tags directly from the search results, enabling dynamic updates to patient categorization.

Assigning and Removing Tags in Bulk

Revenue IQ also allows you to manage tags in bulk:

  • After searching, you can assign tags to some or all patients in the results.

  • Similarly, you can remove tags from selected patients, offering flexibility in tag management.
