Alternative Method for New Patient Follow-up Tasks

Use this method if certain tasks are not in the "Unscheduled Recall" or "Treatment" lists. This approach allows offices to create a general task for following up with new patients while including all the "Log Contact" entry options. Follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Revenue IQ

  2. Begin by creating a search under the "Preappointments" section.

  3. Adjust Search Filters

    • Update the filters to focus on new patients seen within your desired date range instead of non-preappointed patients.

    • Remove the following filters:

      • "Services Not Scheduled"

      • "Last Contacted"

    • Add the "First Visit" filter.

  4. Set Date Ranges

    • Apply the same date range to both the "Services Completed" and "First Visit" filters.

    • This ensures the search generates a list of all new patients seen during the specified time frame.

  5. Generate the New Patients List

    • The list will now display new patients seen during the selected date range.

  6. Create Follow-Up Tasks

    • Create tasks from this list and customize their titles to indicate they are related to new patient follow-ups.
