Payments Navigation Badge

The Payments tab in the top navigation displays a notification badge whenever payment-related items require attention.

The badge provides a quick visual indicator, allowing your team to identify outstanding payment tasks without opening the Payments module.

Why It Matters

The Payments navigation badge helps your team stay on top of important payment activity by highlighting items that require follow-up.

With a quick glance, you can:

  • Identify payment plans that require attention.

  • See when payment disputes are awaiting a response.

  • Prioritize payment-related tasks more efficiently.


What the Badge Counts

The badge displays a combined total of:

Category

What It Includes

Needs Attention

Payment plans currently marked as Critical or At Risk.

Open Disputes

Payment disputes that are open or awaiting a response.

For example:

  • 3 payment plans require attention

  • 2 disputes are open

The Payments badge displays 5.

Note: The badge shows the total number of outstanding items. It does not distinguish between payment plans and disputes.


Badge Behavior

The notification badge behaves as follows:

  • Appears only when one or more payment-related items require attention.

  • Is hidden when there are no outstanding payment plans or disputes.

  • Displays 99+ when the total exceeds 99.

  • Refreshes when the page loads, consistent with other notification badges throughout the application.


Reviewing Items That Require Attention

Select Payments from the top navigation to review the outstanding items.

Payment Plans

Navigate to Payment Plans > Needs Attention. A banner at the top of the page lists each payment plan requiring action, along with the recommended next steps.

Disputes

Navigate to Disputes and filter for Open items. Review each dispute and respond as needed.


Where to Find It

The notification badge appears on the Payments tab in the top navigation whenever payment plans or disputes require attention.

If no badge is displayed, there are currently no outstanding payment-related items.


Frequently Asked Questions

Why doesn't the badge show the type of issue?

The badge displays a combined total of payment plans requiring attention and open disputes. Open the Payments module to view the individual items.

Why isn't a badge displayed?

The badge is shown only when payment plans require attention or disputes remain open.

Why does the badge display "99+"?

When more than 99 items require attention, the badge displays 99+ to keep the navigation concise.
