Setting up insurance verification in PbN starts with mapping your payers to the correct verification provider. Each insurance company in your system must be connected to either Vyne or Steadi so that eligibility and benefit checks can be completed. The metrics at the top of the page show how many companies are already mapped, which remain unmapped, and how they’re distributed between Vyne and Steadi. This step ensures your practice is ready to begin verifying patient insurance smoothly.
Step 1: Access Insurance Verification Settings
Select the person icon in the top-right corner.
Go to New Settings > General > Insurance Verification > Payer Mapping & Settings.
Step 2: Review the Metrics at the Top
At the top of the page, you’ll see a snapshot of your payer mapping status:
Total Companies – the total number of insurance companies found in your system.
Mapped to Vyne – payers linked to Vyne.
Mapped to Steadi – payers linked to Steadi.
Unmapped – payers that still need to be assigned.
These indicators make it easy to see if additional mapping is required.
Step 3: Auto Map Insurance Company Payers
To simplify setup, click Auto Map Insurance Company Payers.
A pop-up will appear, prompting you to select your Preferred Verification Provider.
Steadi (Default) – chosen for broader payer coverage and updated verification layout.
Vyne (Backup) – automatically used if Steadi does not support a payer.
Once selected, the system will automatically connect your payers to the correct provider.
Step 4: Review and Adjust Mappings
After auto-mapping:
Review the Insurance Company list on the page.
Confirm that each payer is mapped to the correct provider.
If needed, you can manually adjust mappings payer by payer.
Step 5: Explore the Payer List
Click into the Payer List for more detailed insights:
Provider Statistics – shows how many payers are supported by Vyne, how many by Steadi, and how many overlap.
Search & Filter – find payers by name, ID, or provider.
Toggle Providers – view coverage for only Vyne, only Steadi, or both.
This list helps you understand provider coverage and make informed mapping choices.
Step 6: Save Your Settings
Once you’ve confirmed mappings and preferences, click Save Mapping Settings. Your setup is now complete, and you can begin running verifications from the Insurance tab.
