Practice by Numbers (PbN) supports two countertop payment terminals for in-person payments: the Verifone S1F2 and Verifone P630. Both terminals allow practices to securely collect patient payments directly through PbN.
Important: The Verifone P400/P400 Plus has been retired from new orders. Existing P400 terminals will continue to function normally. If a replacement is needed, P400 inventory will be used while supplies last. Once that inventory is exhausted, replacements will be fulfilled with the Verifone P630.
Accessories such as dongles, Ethernet adapters, and power supplies are compatible with both the P400 and P630, so practices upgrading from a P400 to a P630 do not need to replace their existing accessories.

What About Existing P400/P400 Plus Terminals?
If your practice currently uses a P400 or P400 Plus, no action is required. Existing terminals will continue to function normally.
If an existing P400 needs to be replaced:
PbN will use remaining P400 replacement inventory while available.
Once P400 inventory is exhausted, replacements will be fulfilled with a P630.
Existing compatible P400 accessories can continue to be used with the P630.
Setting Up Your Terminal
After your terminal arrives:
Connect the terminal using the appropriate cable or connection included with your package.
Power on the terminal and allow it to establish a network connection.
In PbN, navigate to Settings → Payments → Terminals.
Confirm that the new terminal appears and is active.
Complete a test transaction before using the terminal for patient payments.
If the terminal does not immediately appear in PbN, allow 2–3 minutes for the connection to register and then refresh the page.
If the terminal still does not appear, contact PbN Support for assistance.
