πŸ”’ Important Notice: PbN-issued payment terminals handle sensitive card data. For your security, only use the terminal provided directly by Practice by Numbers (PbN) and ensure it has not been tampered with.

Note: The Castles S1F2 terminal does not support chip (insert) functionality. Patients must either swipe or tap their cards to complete payments.

Step 1: Confirm You Received the Correct Shipment

When your Castles S1F2 terminal arrives, verify that the shipment matches what you were expecting from Practice by Numbers.

  • βœ… Confirm the package was delivered directly from Practice by Numbers or an approved shipping partner.

  • βœ… Ensure the box is in good overall condition (no significant damage such as crushed corners, torn packaging, or water damage).

❌ If the shipment appears heavily damaged or you were not expecting a terminal delivery:

  • Do NOT plug in or use the device

  • Contact Practice by Numbers Customer Support for verification

You do not need to check for a security seal on the box. The device itself should be inspected in the next step.

Step 2: Unpack and Inspect the Terminal

After confirming the shipment appears correct, unpack the terminal and inspect it carefully.

Verify the Serial Number

Locate the serial number on the terminal and confirm it matches the serial number printed on the box.

Check for Tampering

Carefully inspect the device for any signs of tampering, including:

  • Missing or loosened screws

  • Cracks or gaps in the casing

  • Unusual holes, wires, or labels

  • Any attachments or foreign objects not part of the original device

  • Signs the device may have been opened or altered

If anything appears suspicious, do not use the terminal and contact Practice by Numbers Customer Support immediately.

Confirm Accessories

Ensure all expected accessories are included and in good condition. This may include:

  • Charging cable

  • Power adapter

  • Paper roll

⚠️ Payment Limitations

The Castles S1F2 terminal does not accept chip (inserted) cards.

Patients must swipe or tap their cards for transactions.

Step 3: Insert the Receipt Paper Roll

Once you have verified the terminal, install the receipt paper:

  1. Locate the paper roll inside the shipping box.

  2. Open the printer compartment by pressing the sides of the paper cover and lifting it upward.

  3. Insert the paper roll so the paper feeds over the contactless logo.

  4. Close the cover securely until it clicks into place.

Your terminal is now ready for charging and setup.
