Important Notice:
Payment terminals handle sensitive card data, so it’s crucial to ensure the terminal you’ve received is the correct one, supplied by Practice by Numbers (PbN), and hasn’t been tampered with.

Step 1: Inspect the Box

Before unboxing, carefully inspect the box containing your terminal. Make sure that:

  • The box hasn’t been previously opened.
  • The security seal is intact. The security seal should be a green and white label with a barcode and a number across the lid of the box.

If the security seal appears tampered with in any way, do not unpack or use the terminal. Instead, contact our Customer Support team immediately for assistance.

Step 2: Unpack and Inspect the Terminal

Once you’ve confirmed the box is secure, go ahead and unpack the terminal. Follow these steps:

1. Verify the Serial Number: Check that the serial number on the terminal matches the serial number on the box.

2. Inspect for Tampering: Examine the terminal closely. Look for any signs of tampering, such as:

  • Missing seals or screws
  • Additional wires or labels
  • Holes in the device
  • Anything inserted in or attached to any part of the terminal

3. If you notice any of these issues, do not use the terminal. Contact Customer Support for guidance.

4. Check Accessories: Ensure all accessories that should accompany the terminal are present and in good condition.

Step 3: Insert the Receipt Paper Roll

After verifying the terminal, it’s time to insert the receipt paper roll. Here’s how:

1. Locate the Paper Roll: The paper roll is packed inside the shipping box.

2. Open the Paper Roll Compartment: Press the sides of the terminal’s paper roll cover and lift it to open.

3. Insert the Paper Roll: Place the paper roll in the compartment, ensuring the paper extends over the contactless logo. Close the cover securely.
