This guide will help you accurately align Eaglesoft reports with Practice by Numbers (PbN) reports.

Key Considerations for Running Reports in Eaglesoft:

Eaglesoft provides several reports for production, collection, and adjustments.

Some commonly used Eaglesoft reports for Production include:

  • Production Reconciliation Report
  • Day Sheet Report
  • Provider Productivity Report

For Collections, Eaglesoft offers:

  • Collections Reconciliation Report
  • Day Sheet Report
  • Provider Productivity Report

When running these reports, Eaglesoft provides different date filter options:

  • Other Range of End of Days
  • Other Range of Dates

We recommend using the "Other Range of Dates" filter instead of "Other Range of End of Days" to align reports.

  • With the "Other Range of Dates" filter, the report header will show the range as "From (Date to Date)." This filter includes all transactions based on the actual calendar date they were posted, meaning any transaction assigned to a particular date will appear in reports for that date, regardless of when it was entered into the system.

  • In contrast, the "Other Range of End of Days" filter will show the report header as "From: EOD [EOD Range]." Do not use this filter if you're trying to match Eaglesoft reports with PBN. It doesn't consider the transaction dates and is mainly used for accounting purposes.

Aligning Provider Productivity Reports: The Provider Productivity Report in Eaglesoft shows each provider's Collections, Production, and Adjustments totals within the selected date range.

    1. Eaglesoft Provider Productivity Report:

  • Navigate to "All Reports" or "Providers Reports" in Eaglesoft.
  • Select the Provider Productivity Report.
  • Click Process.
  • Under "Dates," choose Other Range of Dates.
  • Set your desired date range.
  • Click Preview Report.

  • In PBN, check the Doctors/Hygienist dashboard for the same date range.
  • Ensure the Production, Collections, and Adjustments numbers match for each provider.

Understanding Reporting Differences Between Eaglesoft and PBN

Date Filter Variations:

  • In Eaglesoft, the "Other Range of End of Days" filter focuses on the date transactions were processed.
  • The "Other Range of Dates" filter, however, reflects the transactions' actual calendar dates, regardless of processing time.
  • PbN reports are also based on the calendar date the transaction was posted. Therefore, we recommend using the "Other Range of Dates" to align Eaglesoft reports with PbN accurately.

Adjustments Impact:

  • If you've enabled "Adjustments Impact Adjustments" in Eaglesoft, you may need to combine data from different reports:
    • Get production details from the Production Reconciliation Report.
    • Subtract adjustments using the Adjustments Reconciliation Report.
