Ensure that patients with unscheduled treatments receive timely reminders and follow-ups. With the Treatment Follow-Up Campaign, you can automatically send messages and/or create tasks to follow up with patients who haven’t scheduled their treatment.
How to Set Up the Treatment Follow-Up Campaign
Access the Treatment Follow-Up Campaign
Navigate to the Follow-Up section in Revenue IQ.
Or click the person icon at the top right of the page, then select Campaigns from the drop-down menu.
Find the Unscheduled Treatment Campaign in the list and click anywhere on its row to open the configuration panel.
Define the Audience for the Campaign
Customize which patients will receive follow-ups:
By default, the campaign targets patients with unscheduled treatment plans.
You can filter by:
Service Code(s)
Provider(s)
Recent patient communication status
💡 Open Dental Users: You can choose to follow up with patients based on Active Treatment Plans, Saved Treatment Plans, or both.
Set the Date Range & Message Sequence
Choose when patients will receive their first follow-up after a treatment plan is presented.
Customize the message type (SMS, email, or both) and the content of each follow-up.
Set the intervals between subsequent messages if the patient has not scheduled their treatment.
Patients stop receiving messages once they schedule any procedure from their treatment plan.
If there are still unfinished service codes after their visit, they can be re-entered into the follow-up sequence.
Configure Task Settings
If tasks are part of your campaign strategy, configure task creation settings in this panel to ensure your team can manually follow up when necessary.
Once configured, this automated follow-up ensures no unscheduled treatment goes unnoticed, improving patient care and case acceptance rates.
Patients who have not scheduled their treatment will automatically receive messages and/or be added to a task list.
