Setting Up Insurance Verification in PbN

To use the Insurance Verification feature in Practice by Numbers, follow these steps for proper setup:

Access Settings

  • Click the Settings icon located at the top right of the PbN interface.

  • Navigate to the Insurance Verification section.

Enter Required Information

  • Provider NPI: Enter the NPI number for the lead provider. Ensure this is the provider's NPI, not the facility's NPI.

  • Tax ID: Enter your practice's Tax ID in the field to the right. This is required for some insurance verifications.

Map Insurance Plans

  • In the left column, you’ll see a list of insurance plans imported from your Practice Management Software.

  • Use the dropdown menu in the middle column to map each plan to the corresponding plan in the Verification Service.

  • In the right column, specify your office’s known network status with the insurance company.

Request Missing Plans

  • If a plan isn’t available in the dropdown menu, notify us so we can request the plan.
    Note: Some insurance plans may not share verification information.
