Manually Adjusting Provider Hours

If you notice discrepancies in KPIs related to provider hours worked or hours scheduled between your Practice Management Software (PMS) and Practice IQ, you can manually adjust them. Follow the steps below to ensure your reporting is accurate.

How to Access Provider Hours Worked

Option 1: Access Provider Hours from a KPI

  1. Locate the Schedule Utilization KPI in Practice IQ > Doctors Dashboard.

  2. Click the three dots next to the KPI number.

  3. Select Set Provider Hours to open the Provider Hours Worked page.

Option 2: Access Provider Hours from the Settings Page

  1. Click the person icon in the upper-right corner of Practice by Numbers.

  2. Navigate to New Settings > Practice > Provider Hours Worked.

  3. Select the provider, then adjust the hours as needed.


How to Adjust Provider Hours

Choose the Week to Update

  • Provider hours are displayed by week.

  • Select the week that contains the day you want to modify.

Edit the Hours

  • Click the cell next to the number you want to adjust.

  • Use the arrows to increase or decrease the value, or manually type the correct number.

Saving Your Changes

  • Click Save Changes in the upper-right corner.

  • A warning pop-up will ask you to confirm your update.

  • After saving, you’ll see a confirmation message, and the border around the adjusted cell will change color to indicate a manual edit.

Reverting to Automated Values

If you need to undo an adjustment:

  • Click the refresh icon below the provider’s name.

  • This restores the system-generated value from Practice IQ and removes the colored border.
