Importance for Revenue IQ Searches

Revenue IQ relies on accurate Recare (Recall) information from Dentrix to search for unscheduled recall patients. It uses the Due by date and checks if there are scheduled appointments with relevant service codes (e.g., BW's, exam, prophy).

Common Issue: Incorrect Recare Configuration

If a patient's Recare type is not properly configured in Dentrix, their due date won't be updated correctly. This can lead to patients being missed in recall searches.

How to Prevent This Issue

  1. Configure the Correct Recare Type:

    • Ensure the appropriate Recare type is entered in the patient’s file in Dentrix.

  2. Update Service Codes:

    • When completing a service code that is part of the patient’s Recare type, Dentrix will automatically update their next due date.

By maintaining accurate Recare types and ensuring proper service code updates, you can prevent patients from being missed in Revenue IQ searches.
