Multi-codes and Practice IQ Settings
Dentrix users often use multi-codes to streamline the scheduling process by inputting a single code that represents multiple services, such as prophy, exam, fluoride, etc. However, these codes are not filled out until checkout.
As a result, Practice IQ cannot identify that the patient was scheduled for a hygiene-specific appointment, leading to lower than actual Hygiene PreAppointment KPIs.
How to Correct This Issue
To ensure an accurate reflection of hygiene appointments in Practice IQ, follow these steps:
Enter Multi-codes in Service Code Sets:
Go to the Service Code Sets page in the Settings.
Locate the Recall Service Codes section.
Select the drop-down arrow and check the boxes for the multi-codes used for hygiene appointments.
Save the changes.
By adding the multi-codes to the Recall Service Codes, Practice IQ will recognize these appointments during scheduling, ensuring accurate Hygiene PreAppointment numbers.
