How to Use the Going Inactive Report to Keep Patients Engaged

The "Going Inactive" report helps you identify patients who are at risk of becoming inactive so you can take action to keep them engaged.

Accessing the Report

Expand the Patient Retention KPI Panel:

  • From the Practice IQ Home dashboard, find the Patient Retention Panel and click on the Going Inactive number.

  • You'll see a list of patients labeled as "Going Inactive."

Understanding the Report

  • Patients Going Inactive:

    • These patients are in the 17th month since their last completed visit.

    • The number of patients on this list changes based on the time period you select on the dashboard.

Time Period Examples

  • Last Month:

    • The list shows patients who were in their 17th month since their last visit during the previous month.

  • Current Month:

    • If those patients didn't visit last month, they will now be considered inactive.

    • Patients move off the "Going Inactive" list once they reach month 18 without a visit and become officially inactive.

Taking Action

  • Reach Out:

    • Use this list to contact these patients and encourage them to schedule an appointment, preventing them from becoming inactive.

  • Tools Available:

    • Print or export the list for easy reference.

    • Open the patient window to create manual tasks for staff to follow up.
