How to Properly Set Up QuickBooks Syncing
To set up QuickBooks syncing in Practice IQ, follow these simple steps:
1. Access QuickBooks Setup:
Go to the Settings page.
Click on the button to connect to QuickBooks.
2. Connect to Intuit:
You will be redirected to the Intuit website.
Enter your credentials to connect to the correct office, especially important for companies with multiple practices.
3. Initial Data Sync:
The initial data sync will take about 10 minutes.
You can set up accounts and expenses only after this first sync is completed.
4. Map Accounting Categories:
Map the categories in Practice IQ to the accounting categories already set up in QuickBooks.
Important Mapping Categories
Bank Accounts: Ensure all your bank accounts are mapped to reflect the business assets.
Revenue: Map revenue from every income source, including patient refunds.
Expenses:
On the left side, you'll see every account for payroll, supplies, services, facilities, etc.
This information is imported from QuickBooks along with the account type.
The mapped type and expense type are the categories used in Practice IQ.
