The Advanced section in Practice IQ provides detailed insights into various aspects of practice performance, from operational efficiency to financial analytics and patient demographics. Below is a breakdown of each dashboard in this section.

Operational

This dashboard provides a high-level overview of key business and clinical performance indicators. It includes appointment trends, provider efficiency, revenue summaries, and patient volume metrics, helping practices track overall operations.

Clinical

The Clinical dashboard focuses on treatment completion, provider performance, and patient care trends. It helps practices monitor case acceptance rates, procedure types, and provider-specific contributions to treatment.

Cancelled and Failed

This page focuses solely on cancellations and failed appointments, providing insights into missed appointments, patient no-shows, and last-minute cancellations. The Operational dashboard still holds some of this data, but this dedicated page allows for more granular tracking.

Patient Demographics

This dashboard breaks down the practice’s patient base by:

  • Age groups

  • Gender distribution

  • Insurance types

  • Zip code data (if applicable)

Understanding demographic trends can help tailor marketing efforts and service offerings.

Tx Planning (Treatment Planning)

This page tracks the lifecycle of treatment plans, showing:

  • Which treatments have been recommended

  • How many have been accepted or scheduled

  • Which remain unbooked
    This helps providers monitor case acceptance and follow through on patient care.

Tx Analytics (Treatment Analytics)

A deeper dive into treatment presentation and acceptance rates, broken down by:

  • Exam type (comprehensive, emergency, hygiene, etc.)

  • Provider

  • Treatment category

Users can toggle between bar graphs and pie charts for a visual representation of treatment trends. The Show Data option allows for a table format view.

Tx Unallocated

This page displays treatment plans that have been recommended but not yet scheduled. It is useful for identifying missed revenue opportunities and improving patient follow-up.

Productivity

This dashboard measures practice efficiency in terms of:

  • Production per Patient

  • Production per Hour

  • Production per Procedure
    Providers can click on specific metrics to see breakdowns by individual providers, including:

  • Production per Exam

  • Schedule Utilization
    This helps optimize scheduling and identify provider strengths.

Production Detail

Provides detailed reporting on production, including:

  • Service codes and categories

  • Production by provider

  • Revenue sources (insurance vs. patient payments)

Production by Time

This page expands on the previous Production Details dashboard, now offering a deeper look into production trends by time of day and day of the week.

Adjustments Detail

Breaks down adjustments applied to patient accounts, such as:

  • Write-offs

  • Discounts

  • Insurance-related modifications
    This helps track how adjustments impact revenue.

Collections Detail

This page focuses on collections performance, displaying:

  • Patient payments

  • Insurance reimbursements

  • Outstanding balances
    It helps practices monitor cash flow and identify collection trends.

Production Exceptions

Identifies irregularities in production, such as:

  • Missed charges

  • Unfinished procedures

  • Unexpected fluctuations in revenue

Projections

Bank – PMS Reconciliation (Quickbooks Integration)
