The “Save Form Progress” feature gives patients the flexibility to start a form, pause when needed, and return later without losing any information. Whether they're switching devices, locating insurance documents, or simply getting interrupted, this option ensures they don’t have to start over.

What Is the “Save Form Progress” Button?

The Save Form Progress button appears on all active patient forms. When clicked, it allows the patient to pause form completion and resume later using the same secure link sent via email or text. This button is especially helpful for longer forms or when patients don’t have all their information immediately available.

⚠️ Note: Saved drafts are private and accessible only to the patient through the original email or SMS link. Practices will only see the form once it’s fully submitted.

Why This Feature Was Introduced

Previously, if a patient exited a form before submitting, all entered data would be lost. This led to frustration, abandoned forms, and extra follow-up from office staff. The Save Progress feature was created to:

  • Prevent loss of entered data

  • Allow form completion at the patient’s convenience

  • Improve submission rates and accuracy

Benefits for Patients

  • Flexibility – Complete forms on their own time without feeling rushed

  • Convenience – Start on one device and finish on another

  • Time-saving – No need to re-enter data after interruptions

  • Peace of mind – Confidence that their information won’t be lost

Benefits for Practices

  • Fewer incomplete submissions – More patients finish their forms successfully

  • Less front desk follow-up – Staff won’t need to resend links or troubleshoot lost progress

  • Higher patient satisfaction – A modern, user-friendly experience builds trust

  • Seamless workflow – Forms only appear in your system after full submission; no changes to your intake process

How It Works (From the Patient’s View)

  1. Start filling out a digital form (e.g., registration, health history)

  2. Click the “Save Form Progress” button at any time

  3. Close the form if needed

  4. Return later using the original link sent via email or text

  5. Resume from where they left off and submit when ready
