Troubleshooting:

  1. Extension Not Receiving Calls:

    • Issue: Calls are not being routed to the assigned extension.

    • Possible Causes:

      • The extension may be in "Do Not Disturb" mode.

      • Call forwarding is misconfigured, sending the call to another destination.

      • The extension is not properly assigned to a user or device.

    • Solution:

      • Check that the "Do Not Disturb" option is turned off.

      • Review the call forwarding settings for the extension and ensure calls are routed as intended.

      • Verify that the extension is correctly assigned to a user or device in the system.

  2. Incorrect Caller ID:

    • Issue: Outbound calls from an extension display the wrong caller ID.

    • Possible Causes:

      • The outbound number is not assigned to the correct extension.

      • The caller ID configuration is incorrect in the extension settings.

    • Solution:

      • Go to the extension settings and confirm the correct outbound number is assigned to the extension.

      • If caller ID masking is in use, ensure that it’s configured correctly to display the desired caller ID.

  3. Calls Going to Voicemail Too Soon:

    • Issue: Incoming calls go directly to voicemail without ringing the extension.

    • Possible Causes:

      • The voicemail timeout is set too short.

      • The extension is set to send calls directly to voicemail when unavailable.

    • Solution:

      • Increase the voicemail timeout in the extension settings.

      • Verify the call forwarding settings to ensure calls ring the extension before being sent to voicemail.
