What is A2P 10DLC Registration?

A2P 10DLC (Application-to-Person 10-Digit Long Code) registration is a requirement introduced by U.S. mobile carriers in early 2022. Its purpose is to ensure that only verified businesses send SMS messages, helping reduce spam, phishing, and fraudulent activity.

Key Information

You must complete your A2P 10DLC registration before sending SMS messages through Practice by Numbers.

  • Fees:

    • $4 Brand Registration Fee

    • $20 Campaign Fee (charged once by The Campaign Registry, or TCR)

    • $10 Monthly Campaign Fee

Practice by Numbers will submit your information to The Campaign Registry on your behalf once you provide your business details.

What is TCR, and why do you need to register?

The Campaign Registry (TCR) is an organization that makes sure business text messaging follows laws like the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and FCC rules. It helps reduce spam and prevents businesses from getting fined or having messages blocked.

Registration with TCR is required for all application-to-person (A2P) text messages sent using 10-digit business phone numbers (10DLC). If a number is not registered, major carriers such as Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile will block the messages.

Important Notes
