The PbN Printer allows you to seamlessly upload patient statements and treatment plans from your practice management system (PMS). Once uploaded, these documents can be emailed or texted to patients for their convenience.
Getting Started: Enabling the PbN Printer
To begin using the PbN Printer, you’ll need to have it enabled for your practice.
Contact PbN Support:
Email [email protected] to request PbN Printer activation.
Download and Set Up the PbN Printer:
Navigate to Forms > PbN Printer in your PbN account.
Click Download Setup File and install it on your computer.
Enter the PbN Printer UID (see example below).
The same UID can be used across multiple computers in your practice.
Once set up, your PbN Printer is ready for use.
Viewing and Managing Uploaded PDFs:
Under the PbN Printer List, you can view, manage, or download PDFs sent to patients.
Using the PbN Printer for Treatment Plans
With the PbN Printer, you can upload and send treatment plans directly from your PMS.
For Dentrix Users:
Using the PbN Printer for treatment plans will allow the insurance portion and fees to be included automatically in the treatment plan.
How to Upload a Treatment Plan
Navigate to the patient’s overview.
Select "Send Form" from the treatment plan or "Send Treatment Plan" from the Comm Center.
Choose the correct treatment plan from the PbN Printer Attachment drop-down menu.
Select one of the following options:
Save to PbN Printer List (keeps a copy in PbN for future access).
Delete After Invitation Sent (removes the file once sent to the patient).
Once the patient signs the treatment plan, a copy will be automatically saved in the Doc Center.
Using the PbN Printer for Patient Statements
You can easily upload patient statements using the PbN Printer for digital delivery.
How to Upload a Patient Statement
Go to the Payments tab in PbN.
Select the paperclip icon next to any patient currently under follow-up, or use the Payment Request option in the Comm Center.
Click PbN Printer and upload the Statement for the patient.
Choose one of the following options:
Save to PbN Printer List (stores the statement for future reference).
Delete After Attaching (removes the statement after it is sent).
Important Note for Dentrix Users:
The "Get Statement from PMS" button will not work for Dentrix offices.
