Effective as of 09/02/2024

To improve the accuracy and efficiency of financial records, Practice by Numbers will no longer track or sync payments made directly through Stripe if they are processed outside of the PbN platform.

What’s Changing

Previously, if your practice used Stripe both through PbN and independently, PbN tracked all these payments and synced them back to your Practice Management Software (PMS). This occasionally caused duplicate entries in your PMS—one from PbN and another from your direct Stripe integration—making account reconciliation more difficult.

As of 09/02/2024, only payments processed through the PbN platform will be tracked and synced to your PMS. Payments made directly through your Stripe account, outside of PbN, will no longer be included in PbN's reporting or sync processes.

Why This Matters

This change is designed to:

  • Prevent duplicate payment records.

  • Streamline financial reconciliation.

  • Ensure cleaner, more accurate reporting in both PbN and your PMS.

What You Need to Do

No action is required if you already process all Stripe payments through PbN. However, if you use Stripe independently of PbN, please be aware that those transactions will now be excluded from PbN's tracking and sync capabilities.
