If you want to identify which days your practice is most productive, Practice by Numbers makes it easy to analyze your production trends by day of the week. This insight helps you make informed decisions about staffing, scheduling, and operational hours to maximize efficiency and revenue.

How to Find It

  1. From the left-hand navigation menu, click on Advanced to expand the section.

  2. Scroll down and select Production by Time (as highlighted in the image below).

  3. Once on the Production by Time dashboard, you’ll see two key charts at the top:

    • Avg Production by Day of Week (gross) – This shows the average daily production for each weekday.

    • Total Production by Day of Week (gross) – This shows the total production for each weekday over the selected period.

  4. Use the date range selector at the top of the page to choose your desired timeframe (e.g., Current Month, Last Month, Custom Range).

  5. Toggle between # (amount) and % (percent) using the icon on the top right of each chart to switch between total numbers and percentage views.

Why This Matters

Understanding which days yield the highest production can help you:

  • Optimize scheduling: Allocate more staff or providers on high-performing days.

  • Identify slow days: Consider promotions or lighter staffing on less productive days.

  • Track performance: See how changes in your schedule impact production over time.

  • Make data-backed decisions: Adjust hours of operation or open additional days if Saturday shows high productivity, for example.

In the example, Saturday has the highest average and total production, indicating that weekend availability may be a key revenue driver for this practice.
