Practice by Numbers is continuing to evolve, and you'll soon notice updates throughout the platform.
These changes are designed to create a more consistent and connected experience as PbN grows, while giving us a stronger foundation for the features and improvements ahead.
Your core tools and familiar workflows are not changing. Many of the updates are visual, including refreshed buttons, clearer layouts, and improvements to how information and tools are displayed on screen.
If you've ever needed several browser tabs or windows open just to keep track of messages, tasks, and patient information at the same time, this update is designed with that in mind. The new panel experience lets you multitask right on the page you're already on, opening the tools you need without ever navigating away or losing your place.
PracticeIQ, with a Tasks panel open alongside it, is a look at the multitasking that's coming to PbN.
You May Have Already Seen Some of These Changes
Parts of this refreshed experience are already available throughout Practice by Numbers.
If you regularly use Tasks, Revenue IQ, Appointments, Forms, or Campaigns, you may have noticed updated buttons, controls, tables, and other visual details.
Revenue IQ already includes a way to try the refreshed look: click Preview new Revenue IQ to see it early.
The Preview new Revenue IQ link is available today.

We've introduced these updates gradually so the experience feels familiar and your team won't need to learn an entirely new way of working.
What's Changing?
As we roll these updates out across Practice by Numbers, different areas of the platform will start to look and behave more consistently.
Most changes will be small, such as:
Updated buttons, icons, and controls
Cleaner, more consistent layouts
Refreshed navigation and visual elements
More predictable ways to find information and take action
Easier ways to view and manage multiple tools while you work
Some screens will look different, but the tools and workflows you use will remain familiar.
Work Across PbN Without Losing Your Current Workspace
One of the most noticeable improvements is the new navigation. A nav bar on the left gives you quick access to every feature in PbN, while a row of buttons on the right lets you open panels like SMS, Team Chat, and Call Center alongside your current workspace. You can open several panels at once, resizing and rearranging them while the page behind them stays right where you left it.
Multitasking across a practice often means bouncing between browser tabs, losing track of where you were, and re-navigating back to what you were working on. The new panel experience solves that: panels stay open alongside your page, so you can check a patient's file, respond to a message, or take a call without ever leaving what you're doing.
The left nav bar for PbN's features and the right-side buttons for opening SMS and Team Chat panels alongside your Home page, resized and rearranged to fit how you work.
That same navigation and panel experience is coming to the rest of PbN. Here's a preview of the refreshed look in Revenue IQ and PracticeIQ, both with the new left nav bar so you can open the same panels without ever leaving what you're working on.

For example, you can review information in PracticeIQ and open the Call Center beside it, or pull up a Patient Overview without leaving your current page.
This gives you more context, cuts down on the back-and-forth of switching between tabs and windows, and makes it easier to move between tasks without losing your place, all from one screen.
Why We're Updating the PbN Experience
Practice by Numbers has grown significantly, both in the number of tools available and in what those tools help practices do.
These updates bring that growth together in a more consistent and connected experience while creating a stronger foundation for continued improvement.
Make PbN easier to navigate. Consistent buttons, actions, navigation, and information make the platform more predictable across PbN.
Make everyday workflows more efficient. Instead of juggling multiple browser tabs or windows, the panel experience lets you access related information and tools side by side, so you can multitask without losing focus on the task in front of you.
Create a more unified PbN experience. Shared design patterns bring different areas of the platform together so the overall experience feels more connected.
Support what comes next. These updates give us the foundation to continue introducing new capabilities and improving PbN as the needs of practices evolve.
What Do I Need to Do?
Nothing.
These updates will appear automatically within Practice by Numbers. No migration, installation, or configuration is required from your practice.
Some areas may update before others as the refreshed experience rolls out.
Because many of these design patterns are already used in Tasks, Revenue IQ, Appointments, Forms, and Campaigns, much of the experience should already feel familiar.
The Same PbN, Built for What's Next
Our goal isn't to change Practice by Numbers simply to make it look different.
We're creating a more consistent and connected foundation that makes PbN easier to use today while giving us more room to continue improving the platform over time.
You'll continue to see these updates appear throughout Practice by Numbers as more areas move into the refreshed experience.
We're excited for you to see what's next.
