The Security Events tab provides a detailed audit trail of security-related activity within Practice by Numbers. This is essential for accountability, troubleshooting, and compliance.


Where to Find Security Events

Go to: New Settings > General > Security Management > Security Events


What Gets Logged

Security Events include:

  • Security settings changes

  • Role updates

  • IP address approvals

  • Security preset applications

Each event records:

  • Timestamp

  • Event type

  • Severity level

  • The user who performed the action


Filtering & Exporting Events

Administrators can:

  • Filter events by type, severity, date range, or user

  • Export events to CSV for audits or internal reviews


Why This Matters

Audit logs help practices:

  • Track configuration changes

  • Identify unauthorized activity

  • Meet internal or regulatory requirements
