Team Messaging allows you to communicate with your team throughout the practice. For the best experience, use this feature within the PbN desktop app, although it is also available on the web app.
Setting Your Location
You no longer need to set a location to receive messages, as you can now view messages for both your user and location simultaneously. However, it’s still necessary to set a location for Patient Flow.
Open Patient Flow in the desktop app by selecting the Operations icon.
Navigate to Patient Flow Settings.
Select your location from the My Location drop-down.
To add more locations, click the + icon.
Using Team Messaging
Getting Started:
Click the Team Messaging button at the bottom left corner of any PbN page or the send icon on the left in the desktop app.
The messaging window will display all open conversations tied to your user or location.
Use the filter at the top left to view:
Open and Unread Messages
All Messages (most recent at the top).
You will see notifications for messages sent to either the user or the location, with indicators showing how many messages have come in. Notification pop-ups will specify who the notification is for, such as "Notification for location 3."
Badges and Indicators next to messages help identify their origin:
A person icon represents a user message.
A bot icon indicates an operatory alert.
A laptop icon signifies a location-based message.
For messages sent to both a user and a location, badges clarify the delivery method.
Composing a New Message
Click the new message icon at the top-right corner of the messaging window.
Select your recipient(s) from either the User or Location options.
Type your message in the text box at the bottom and hit Send.
Editing and Deleting Messages
To edit or delete a message:
Hover over the message and click the three dots that appear.
Choose Edit or Delete as needed.
Additional features:
Upload and download files.
Send GIFs within conversations.
