Whether you need a record for bookkeeping or simply want to double-check your billing, Practice by Numbers makes it easy to access your invoice history. There are two different ways to view and download invoices: via the original Settings page or the New Settings page.

Option 1: View Invoices from the Original Settings Page

This method takes you through the classic settings layout and provides a direct link to manage your billing.

Step 1: Go to the Original Settings Page

  • Click the profile icon in the top-right corner of your screen.

  • Select “Settings” from the dropdown menu (do not click "New Settings").

  • In the left-hand menu, click Billing.

Step 2: Click "Manage Billing"

  • You’ll be taken to a Stripe-hosted billing page.

  • From here, you can:

    • Manage your payment method

    • View all past invoices

    • Download PDFs of each invoice

Each invoice will display:

  • Invoice ID

  • Date

  • Description

  • Amount

  • Payment status

  • A Download link (click the external link icon)

Option 2: View Invoices from the New Settings Page

This updated interface provides quick access to your billing history inside the platform.

Step 1: Open the New Settings Area

  • Click the profile icon in the upper right corner.

  • Select “New Settings” from the dropdown.

Step 2: Navigate to Billing > Payment History

  • In the left-hand menu, select Billing.

  • Then click “Payment History.”

You’ll now see a table showing:

  • Invoice Date

  • Invoice Number

  • Customer

  • Amount

  • Status (e.g., Paid, Draft)

For each invoice, you’ll find two buttons:

  • PDF – to download the invoice

  • View – to see invoice details within the platform

Why This Is Helpful

  • Full Transparency: No guessing—see exactly what you're paying for.

  • Professional Bookkeeping: Keep organized records for taxes, audits, or budgeting.

  • Billing Control: Review status and timing of every subscription or service.

  • Easy Management: Update payment methods via the Stripe portal.

Tip

If you see an invoice marked as Draft in the New Settings area, it means it's not yet finalized for billing. Once it's marked Paid, you can safely download it for your records.
