If you don’t have Microsoft Excel installed on your computer, you can still open and work with exported reports from Practice by Numbers using Google Sheets. Follow the steps below to upload and access your CSV or Excel file in Google Sheets.

Step 1: Export the Report from Practice by Numbers

  1. Navigate to the report you want to export within Practice by Numbers.

  2. Click on the Export button.

  3. The file will be downloaded to your computer, it will typically be added to your Downloads.

Step 2: Open Google Sheets

  1. Open a web browser and go to Google Sheets.

  2. Sign in to your Google account if you are not already logged in.

Step 3: Upload the Report to Google Sheets

Upload Directly from Google Sheets

  1. Click on the + Blank option to create a new spreadsheet.

  2. In the top menu, go to File > Import.

  3. Select the Upload tab, then click Browse.

  4. Locate and select the exported report file from your computer.

  5. Click Open to upload the file.

  6. In the import settings, choose:

    • Replace Spreadsheet (if you want to overwrite an existing sheet) or Create New Spreadsheet.

    • Choose the appropriate separator type (Google Sheets usually auto-detects this).

    • Click Import Data.

  7. Your report will now open in Google Sheets.

Step 4: Review and Format the Data (Optional)

  • Check for any formatting issues that may have occurred during import.

  • Adjust column widths for better readability.

  • Apply filters to sort and analyze data efficiently.

Step 5: Save or Share the Report

  • Go to File > Download to download a copy and select your preferred format (e.g., Excel, CSV, PDF)..

  • To share with others, click Share, enter their email addresses, and adjust permissions as needed.
